Need Altitude Training for 2011 Barn Burner

In order to achieve the 8 hour mark next year the Pirates need some training at altitude for the Barn Burner. We also need some more pirates to take part in the event it is gorgeous venue and the course is not hard except for the last climb after 21 miles of cranking.

LOL...

I took Derek on a ride here, and he was not liking the first half of it. The ride starts at almost 4,000 ft in altitude and is mostly climbs, which the gain in elevation totals over 3,000 ft. It tops out at 6,000 ft. Going from desert scrub to ponderosa pine forest and back to the desert. 14 miles total, but mileage can be added to the ride. There are other trails that can be added to make the ride longer with additional climbing at higher altitudes. All are more then welcome to enjoy it with us!

I would like to ride in Barn Burner this year does anyone know of a team needing a 4th? I rode 2:10 last year and it was my first ride ever...and I rode it in flats. I'm a bit better now lol. Please email me at dugan.joshua@gmail.com if ya know anyone. Thanks!
