So, Derek's bike finally showed up in CT. What the brain trusts at UPS did to it would have made Hannibal Lecter proud. Kerry's bike remains MIA. UPS has no idea where it is.

we cried together over the loss... just hoping to be able to replace them before the riding season hits here in New England!
UUUGGHHH. OMG...that sucks. A brand new bike :( Will UPS cover any damaages?
We insured the bikes, but now we are stuck dealing with them on the claim(s)... Since they have lost mine too. So it looks like both Derek and I will be getting new bikes. The problem that I see is that they will take a long time to process the claim...
